n April, 2002 we took off on our three week adventure to France.
This was in conjunction with two other couples and the highlight
involved the rental of a house in the south of France. We had done
this in Italy
in 2000. That trip was such a success that we just had to try
again.
This site
was created in celebration of that trip as well as a convenient
location to store the memories and photographs.
If
you have stumbled on to this site in quest of information about
traveling in France or Europe, enjoy.
We have included
information about planning the trip and will tell you about one
rental agent that nobody should use - also one we will use again
the next visit.
At least you
will see how we went about doing it. There is a page about our travel
style. It is somewhere between Rick Steves and Rudy Maxa - not plush
and not the economy approach
either.

soon? Biggest hurdle may be your own fear"

SITE
NAVIGATION
We
did a lot of things while on this trip, so
to organize this site we have created a page
for each city in which we stayed overnight
or longer. On each of those pages you will
find links to our activities and the locations
we visited in the city or area.
You
can click on one of the city links at the
top of any page to find
all the pages about that area.
Or,
you can simply follow along on our trip by
clicking the next
link at the bottom of each page.

The
entire group was together for a little over a week and most
of that was spent at a rental house in the village of Cesseras
in the Languedoc region of France. We spent three weeks on
the trip, so we are covering Amsterdam,
Paris, Lyon,
Avignon, St.
Rémy and several other towns and villages in the
Provence and
Languedoc-Roussillon areas.

FRENCH
POLITICS
& THE AMERICAN TRAVELER
We
love France and the French people. We have been
warmly received there on three trips. This site
is a celebration of our latest trip.
But,
with the present world situation, it is important
to consider the current anti-American stance of
the French government before you travel there.
See our comments.
