We had a week at Montestigliano. Most of us would have stayed for another week.  There was much to do, much to see.  Just not enough time.

Even though we were twelve folks and fourteen after John and Linda joined us, we were not joined at the hip. We did take a group tour to San Gimignano and had dinner in Sienna.  We all went to the winery but missed out on another. On other days we went separate ways.

Some of the group headed for the thermal springs of Petrido for a hot dip, a mud bath and a swim in the river.  (No pictures yet.)

Others went to cooking school and some even got a chance to relax and read a book.  There was an old airplane on the top of one of the hills that rated a visit, other mountain towns and villages got explored. Four member of the group went to Florence for a day.  There was just not enough time to do everything.

San Gimignano is an interesting city famous for its towers.  Still, it is full of small shops and focused on serving the tourist.

Cooking class was the greatly enjoyed by all those attending.  They all returned after four hours of eating complaining (bragging) about being too full.

Montalcino was one excursion.  This area is the home of the Brunello wines.

Villages like Pitigliano are nested atop mountains throughout the region.

We are still gathering pictures of some of the places visited and the adventures enjoyed.  Check back for more information and photos.
